Mountains, Ocean and you!
"Let's go to the ocean", I whispered to her!
"It's been long. I believe I left a bit of my soul there. I should go check on it sometime."
There was something about her presence that made me think of the ocean. Vast and all encompassing like her love.
With a frown she replied, "Yes It's been so long! Looks like they have forgotten me. I probably should remind them."
I turned to look at her. Those frowns suited her well but I missed her smile. Closing my eyes in reflective calm I said, "There are so many drops in the ocean my love! I am sure there is one drop that remembers you. I am sure it is in love with you." I looked around the garden till I found the shells scattered around beautifully. Picking one up, I called her. "Come listen to this conch shell. It hums the song of the waves that are missing you."
Holding the conch shell close to her ears she was quiet for a while. Gazing at the horizon, a shadow of doubt cast over her brows. "How about the mountains?" She asked. "
The sun was setting, casting its golden glow all around. She too was glowing in that magical light. I could not hold back a smile. She brought such joy to my aching heart.
"What about the mountains? She asked again, now sound a little worried. So many of my secrets are with them."
Taking her soft fingers in mine I spoke, "Those mountains are so tall. I am sure they have hidden your secrets high up in those clouds that always hug them. When it fills up with all your pain, the clouds shed it away as rain, losing all its darkness on the way. Those raindrops are soaked up by little plants which bloom as flowers of hope. So each time you look at a flower, know that the mountains have made sure, you know you are remembered."
She looked at the wild orchids which had bloomed that morning and planted a little kiss on its violet petals. With a smile that could brighten up a raven sky she exclaimed, "I can feel the love in its heart. They do remember me."
With a merry song on her lips she skipped into the foggy evening. I was left there basking in the afterglow of her smile.
PS: This narrative is based on a real conversation I had with the bestest human ever. I never realised that conversations over chats could be so beautiful. She asked me these questions and the words just flowed out of me in answer. Poems, stories, she inspired me at different levels. Goes to show that love inspires and your love is the most purest of all Amulya seetharaman. #soulsisters
